What is Kpop??
K-pop is a music genre from South Korea. It includes all genres of popular music within South Korea such as western pop music, rock, jazz, hip hop, dance, folk, country and classical. The earliest K-pop groups, Seo Taiji and Boys, forming in 1992. Then, boy band H.O.T in 1996. Then, boy band Sechs Kies from 1997. From 2003 TVXQ and BoA broke the music genre into the Japanese market and continue to popularize K-pop.
TVXQ!
TVXQ! debuted back in December 2003 under SM Entertainment and has made history throughout their decade. TVXQ currently consists of 2 members: Yunho and Changmin. Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu left the band in 2010.
Super Junior
Super Junior, also known as simply SJ or SUJU, is a South Korean boy band. Formed in 2005 under S.M. Entertainment,
the group comprised a total of thirteen members at its peak. Super
Junior originally debuted with twelve members, consisting of leader Leeteuk, Heechul, Hangeng, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook and Kibum. Kyuhyun joined the group in 2006.

BIGBANG
BIGBANG contains of 5 members: G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri. The band debuted on August 19, 2006, under YG Entertainment. They’ve reigned supreme on the K-Pop charts throughout the years and promise to continue doing so.
F.T. ISLAND
F.T. Island currently consists of 5 members. The band debuted on June 7, 2007, under FNC Entertainment.
2PM
2PM debuted in September 2008 and have continuously released albums in both Korea and Japan. 2PM contains of 6 members: Jun. K (formerly known as Junsu), Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho and Chansung. The former leader, Jay Park, left the band in 2010.
SHINee
SHINee debuted in May 2008 and has made history as one of the rare groups to continue strong without a lineup change. Shinee currently consists of: Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin. Jonghyun passed away on December 18, 2017. SHINee debuted on May 25, 2008, under S.M. Entertainment.
Davichi
The power duo Davichi debuted in February 2008. They’ve become one of the most famous female duos in K-Pop. The duo consists of Haeri and Minkyung.
BEAST/HIGHLIGHT
Highlight consists of 5 members: Yoon Doojoon, Yong Junhyung, Yang Yoseob, Lee Gikwang, and Son Dongwoon. They were previously known as B2ST, who debuted as a 6 members group in October 2009, under Cube Entertainment. In April 2016, original member Jang Hyunseung left the band. Later that year, the remaining members moved to Around Us Entertainment and changed the band name to Highlight.
Girl’s Day
Girl’s Day debuted in July 2010. The group is one of the longest running girl groups that hasn’t disbanded.
CNBLUE
CNBLUE consists of 4 members: Yonghwa, Jonghyun, Minhyuk and Jungshin. The band debuted in Japan in early 2009. CNBLUE made their Korean debut in January 2010, under FNC Entertainment. The flower boy band grew into men as each of the members have also found success as actors.
TEEN TOP
TEEN TOP made their debut in July 2010. Teen Top currently consists on 5 members: C.A.P, Chunji, Niel, Ricky and Changjo.
INFINITE
Infinite currently consists of 6 members: Sunggyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong. On August 30th, 2017 Hoya left Infinite. The band debuted on June 9 2010, under Woollim Entertainment.

AOA
AOA ( an acronym for Ace of Angels) is a South Korean girl group formed by FNC Entertainment. Initially, AOA debuted as an eight-member girl band that consisted of Choa, Jimin, Yuna, Youkyung, Chanmi, Hyejeong, Seolhyun, and Mina. Currently, AOA is promoting as a six-member idol girl group following Choa's departure, and Youkyung, who was only a part of AOA Black. The group officially debuted by having their debut music stage on August 9, 2012.
BTOB
BtoB (/ˈbiː.tuː.biː/; acronym for Born to Beat) is a South korean boy group formed in 2012 by Cube Entertainment. The group consists of Seo Eun-kwang, Lee Min-hyuk, Lee Chang-sub, Im Hyun-sik, Peniel Shin, Jung Il-hoon, and Yook Sung-jae.
BtoB debuted on March 21, 2012, performing "Insane" (비밀) and "Imagine".
EXID
EXID ( short for "Exceed in Dreaming"),is a South Korean Girlgroup formed in 2012. The group is composed of five members: Solji, LE, Hani, Hyelin and Jeonghwa. EXID debuted in February 2012, with the single "Whoz That Girl".
EXO
Exo is a South Korean-Chinese boy group based in Seoul. Formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011, the group debuted in 2012 with twelve members separated into two subgroups, Exo-K (Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun) and Exo-M (Xiumin, Lay, Chen and former members Kris, Luhan and Tao.
NU'EST
NU'EST ( short for New Establish Style Tempo) is a South Korean boy group formed byPledis Entertainment. The group debuted on March 15, 2012, with the digital single "Face". The group consists of five members: JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren.
VIXX
VIXX ( pronounced "vicks"; acronym for Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis) is a six-member South Korean boy group, formed by Jellyfish Entertainment in 2012. All members participated in Mnet's survival reality show MyDOL and were selected via an elimination system through viewer votes. The group name, VIXX, was also decided by viewer votes. VIXX consists of N, Leo, Ken, Ravi, Hongbin and Hyuk.
BTS
BTS (also known as bangtan sonyeondan, Bulletproof Boy Scouts or Bangtan Boys, Beyond the scene) are a K-Pop boy group. They debuted on 13th June 2013 from the company 'Big Hit Entertainment'. BTS consists of 7 members: Jin, Suga, J-hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, V and Jungkook . Their debut song was called 'No More Dream', which came from the album '2 Cool 4 Skool' from the date of their debut. 'O!RUL82?' was released on 11th September 2013, 'Skool Luv Affair' on 12th February 2014, 'Dark & Wild' on 20th August 2014, 'The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: pt 1' on 29th April 2015, 'The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: pt 2' on 30th November 2015, 'The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever' on 2nd May 2016 and 'Wings' on 10th October 2016. They also have 2 Japanese albums: 'Wake Up' (2014) and 'Youth' (2016). Their latest album is 'Love Yourself: Her'.
GOT7
Got7 is a South Korean Boy group formed by JYP Entertainment. The group is composed of seven members: JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom. Got7 debuted in January 2014 with the release of their first EP Got It?, which peaked at number two on the Gaon Album Chart and number one on Billboard's World Albums Chart. The group gained attention for their stage performances, which include elements of martial arts tricking.
LOVELYZ
Lovelyz is a South Korean Girlgroup formed in 2014 by Woollim Entertainment and is the company's first girl group. The group consists of eight members: Baby Soul, Jiae, Jisoo, Mijoo, Kei, Jin, Sujeong and Yein. Their debut album, Girls' Invasion, was released on November 17, 2014.
MAMAMOO
Mamamoo is a South Korean girl group formed by Rainbow Bridge World (formerly WA Entertainment) in 2014. The group officially debuted on June 19, 2014 with the song "Mr. Ambiguous".Their debut was considered by some critics as one of the best K-pop debuts of 2014. They are recognized for their retro, jazz, and R&B concepts and strong vocal performances.
RED VELVET
Red Velvet is a South Korean girl group formed by S.M. Entertainment. The group debuted on August 1, 2014, with their digital single "Happiness" and with four members: Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy. In March 2015, Red Velvet added a fifth member, Yeri, to the group.
CLC
CLC ( short for "CrystaL Clear") is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2015. The group consists of seven members: Seunghee, Yujin, Seungyeon, Sorn, Yeeun, Elkie, and Eunbin. Their debut extended play First Love was released on March 19, 2015. CLC originally had five members, with two members added to the group in February 2016.
DAY6
Day6 is a South Korean band formed by JYP Entertainment. The band's current line-up consists of five members: Jae, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon. The band debuted with the release of their first EP, The Day on September 7, 2015.
GFRIEND
GFriend is a six-member South Korean girl group formed by Source Music in 2015. The group consists of Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB and Umji. They made their debut with the EP Season of Glass on January 16, 2015. GFriend won several 2015 female rookie awards and has garnered momentum since their debut, despite coming from a small company.
IKON
iKon , stylized as iKON, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2015 by YG Entertainment. The group was first introduced in the reality survival program WIN: Who is Next as "Team B." After that, Team B went on to appear in the 2014 reality survival program Mix & Match, which determined the final seven-member lineup of iKon: B.I, Bobby, Jay, Ju-ne, Song, DK and Chanwoo.
MONSTA X
Monsta X is a South Korean boy group formed by Starship Entertainmentthrough the survival show No.Mercy on Mnet in 2015. The group is composed of seven members: Jooheon, Shownu, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Wonho, Minhyuk, and I.M.
TWICE
Twice is a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2015 reality show Sixteen. The group is composed of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. The group debuted on October 20, 2015.
SEVENTEEN
Seventeen also stylized as SEVENTEEN or SVT, is a South Korean boy group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2015. The group consists of thirteen members divided into three sub-units, each with a different area of specialization: a 'Hip-Hop Unit', 'Vocal Unit', and 'Performance Unit'. Seventeen has released two studio albums and four extended plays.
ASTRO
Astro is a South Korean boy band formed by Fantagio in 2016. The group is composed of six members: MJ, JinJin, Eunwoo, Moon Bin, Rocky, and Sanha. They debuted with the single "Hide & Seek" from their debut EP Spring Up.
Black Pink (stylized as BLΛƆKPIИK) is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment. The group consists of four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. They officially debuted on August 8, 2016 with the single album Square One, which included their first number-one hit in the Gaon Digital Chart, "Whistle", and "Boombayah", which topped the Billboard World Digital Songs chart.
I.O.I ( also known as IOI or Ideal of Idol) was a South Korean girl group formed by CJ E&M through the 2016 reality show Produce 101 on Mnet. The group was composed of eleven members chosen from a pool of 101 trainees from various entertainment companies: Lim Na-young, Kim Chung-ha, Kim Se-jeong, Jung Chae-yeon, Zhou Jieqiong, Kim So-hye, Yu Yeon-jung, Choi Yoo-jung, Kang Mi-na, Kim Do-yeon and Jeon So-mi. They debuted on May 4, 2016 with the EPChrysalis and actively promoted as a whole and as a sub-unit for less than a year.
The group's concert titled Time Slip – I.O.I, which was held on January 20 to 22, 2017, marked their last group activity on stage. They officially disbanded at the end of January 2017 and returned to their respective agencies.
Momoland is a South Korean girl group formed by Dublekick Company. They debuted on November 10, 2016, with the EP Welcome To Momoland. The members are the winners of survival program Finding Momoland on Mnet. The group is composed of nine members: Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Taeha, Nayun, Daisy, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy. MOMOLAND announced to have their first comeback with a single sometime in April 2017, with a new member and former JYP Entertainment trainee, Daisy. On April 10, 2017, former Produce 101 contestant, Kim Taeha was announced to have been added to the group as well.
NCT is a South Korean boy group formed by S.M. Entertainment. Their name stands for the Hallyu localization project Neo Culture Technology, a term coined by S.M. Entertainment founder Lee Soo-man to describe the group's concept of having an unlimited number of members divided into multiple sub-units based in various cities worldwide.
Pentagon ( stylized as PENTAGON; abbreviated as PTG) is a South Korean boy group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2016. The group consists of 10 members: Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, E'Dawn, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino and Wooseok. They were introduced through the Mnet survival show Pentagon Maker. Pentagon released their self-titled debut EP on October 10, 2016.
SF9 (shortened from Sensational Feeling 9) is a South Korean boy group formed by FNC Entertainment. SF9 is the company's first dance boy group to ever debut. SF9 debuted on October 5, 2016 with the release of their first single album Feeling Sensation. Their third mini-album, Knights of the Sun, was released on October 10, 2017.

K.A.R.D
KARD ( also stylized as K.A.R.D or K♠RD) is a South Korean co-ed group formed by DSP Media. Their lineup consists of J.seph, B.M, Somin and Jiwoo. They made their official debut on July 19, 2017 with the EP Hola Hola.
Pristin (stylized as PRISTIN and formerly known as Pledis Girlz) is a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2016. The group is composed of ten members: Nayoung, Roa, Yuha, Eunwoo, Rena, Kyulkyung, Yehana, Sungyeon, Xiyeon and Kyla. Most of them appeared on the television show Produce 101 and, as the prize for becoming two of the top contestants, Nayoung and Kyulkyung went on to debut as part of the project girl group I.O.I, before reuniting with the other members to debut as Pristin on March 21, 2017, with the first mini album Hi! Pristin. Like their labelmate group Seventeen, Pristin is known for writing and composing their own music.

Wanna One is a South Korean boy band formed by CJ E&M through the 2017 series Produce 101 Season 2. The group is composed of eleven members: Kang Daniel, Park Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Lai Kuan-lin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young and Ha Sung-woon. The group debuted on August 7, 2017 and will be promoting until December 31, 2018 under YMC Entertainment and CJ E&M.
WEKI MEKI
Weki Meki also known as WEME, is a South Korean girl group formed by Fantagio in 2017. The group consists of eight members: Ji Suyeon, Elly, Choi Yoo-jung, Kim Do-yeon, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy.
Apink is a South Korean girl group formed by Plan A Entertainment (formerly A Cube Entertainment[) in 2011. The group consists of Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jung Eun-ji, Son Na-eun, Kim Nam-joo and Oh Ha-young. Hong Yoo-kyung left the group in April 2013 to focus on her studies.
